Life Presents Mosca, Fantastic Mr Fox & Krystal Klear (Great Escape Afterparty)

The Great Escape hits Brighton this weekend, and in addition to all the live gigs on at Life Club over the two days, Life presents 3 of the UK’s hottest DJs for their Great Escape afterparty this Friday (13th May).

MOSCA will be well known to many as part of the Night Slugs stable, but his sound doesn’t stop at their twisted brand of house: his Tilt Shift release for Fat City was an all conquering slice of swaggering southern hip hop, and his DJ sets show both these sides of him, and many more.  His recent mix for Fact magazine clocked in at a whopping 100 minutes and straddled pretty much every genre divide known to man.  Mixed live, in one take, Mosca moves between hip hop, juke, UK Funky, grime, Bmore, dancehall, techno & garage.  Check the Fact mix here.  Live sets from Mosca are no different, and this rare Brighton appearance is not one to miss.

Brilliant young blood Krystal Klear’s blend of boogie and house has been an instant hit with DJs & punters alike.  His debut Tried For Your Love on All City and follow-up record on Cooly G’s Dub Organiser label have smashed it, and his sets are massive too – blending New Jack Swing, classic House and new sounding boogie and funk stuff.

Anyone who caught our next DJ’s last appearance in Brighton will know how big his set was.  Since his set at Aka Aka Roar way back in June of 2010, Fantastic Mr Fox’s mixes online & his releases have stayed at the same level of quality.  His productions flit between garage, house and hip, bringing his own uniquely twisted slant on on them & bridging the gap between them.

Entry is (of course) free with a Great Escape wristband & otherwise £5 all night.  Support comes from Brighton’s very own Source Magazine’s Matt Barker and Aka Aka Roar’s Temple.
