SUPERCHARGED PRESENTS P.S.A //

This week, on Friday 6th May, LIFE sees a one-off SUPERCHARGED SPECIAL with an unmissable line up: MARCUS NASTY & MC RANKIN, SPYRO, MENSAH + support, covering a fine mix of Grime, Garage, UK Funky and Dubstep.

Locally based independant clothing label PEAR SHAPED APPAREL (P.S.A) will be hosting the night – have a look at their website HERE to suss out this stylish Brightonion crew…

MARCUS NASTY is recognized around the globe as the UK’s Number One Funky House DJ. With 10 years of experience to his name, he has gained an impressive reputation and is now regarded as one of the leading figures within the UK House industry.  Nasty is respected not only for his DJing, but also for scouting out & promoting some of the biggest artists to come out of this scene.

Hear his unique mixing skills and personal charisma on his weekly RINSE FM radio show, everyday Wednesday from 7pm – 9pm. Other big artists often make guest appearances and perform live in the studio – all round, Nasty’s shows are always great pieces of radio, and well worth a listen! Check out Rinse FM online HERE for more info and a list of all their shows and artists – SPYRO is also involved, hosting the stations most popular Grime show on Mondays at 5pm – 7pm.

As we know, SPYRO will be playing alongside Marcus Nasty, and he’ll no doubt be dropping off premium Grime-bombs left, right and center. His breathtaking ability as a DJ is renowned; Spyro is pure, focused hype. Using CDJ’s, he navigates skilfully through a blend of upfront dubs, exclusive VIP mixes and certified old school classics. His own productions hold their own too – check out ‘ARIES RIDDUM‘ below to see how Grime Instrumentals should be done…

MENSAH is a fresh, emerging talent with a wide variety & diversity to his sound. Having become involved in the music scene in Bristol when he was young, there’s no surprise that he epitomises the great things associated with the city’s music – positive, progressive and different. It’s for these reasons why fellow Bristollian JAKES picked op on him and released his ‘Pulse 80’s’ track, followed shortly with his Debut EP ‘Untitled Future Funk’.

Plus, extra support will come from P.S.A’s very own SEBADEE and MOONY, with STICKIE DAVIS and DUBLOKE of AKA AKA ROAR! fame rounding up the bill.

This promises to be a heavy night of heavy beats – prepare yourself!
