CHANNEL ONE REGGAE PARTY @ LIFE //

Anyone who has attended Notting Hill Carnival over the last 25 years will no doubt have come across the Channel One sound and selector Mikey Dread – who regularly pull a crowd of ten thousand people. Mikey’s father, himself a soundman from the 50s, passed his system to his sons in 1979 when it was reborn as Channel One, named after the Hookim brothers record label that revolutionised reggae production in the late 70s. Since then Channel One has played throughout the UK, including Glastonbury and the University of Dub – where they regularly headline, and now they’re heading to LIFE for a gigantic reggae party to start the new year off!
