Jamaica Party celebrates Jamaica’s 50th year of independence, and the influence Jamaica has had on the UK’s music scene. Since the 1950′s, Jamaicans have brought the sound of their Island direct to British dancefloors. Under the influence of Mento, Ska and Reggae, UK producers, DJs and musicians have changed the sound of British music forever, with a huge plethora of genres all inspired by and rooted in Jamaican sounds.

Tonight, we will see some of these artists show us how it’s done. The lineup is as follows:

We are very excited to inform you of LIFE’s brand spanking new clubnight, ready and raring to launch THIS SATURDAY… Get ready for an alternative party starter down on the seafront, as we will be rolling through each and every weekend with the finest tunes and freshest vibes. This is freshly squeezed. This is definitely one of your five a day. This is JUICE BOX.

Juice Box will open its doors at 11pm and keep you dancing all through the night. In the main room a sleek selection of DJs will be on rotation, mixing and mashing a heady mix of songs to bring you a dancefloor storm; expect riffs, bass, synths and big, club-fueled anthems. Downstairs, the Moroccan lounge will offer you a more intimate and chilled affair with guest DJs spinning RnB, Hip Hop, Reggae, Dancehall and Motown.

Expect a venue transformation as we deck out the club with a hall of mirrors and a swap-shop cloakroom, full of fancy dress to get you in the spirit of things. Plus, come the summer, our terrace will be sweetened up with a tuc shop and ice-cream parlor – drinks and ice cream?! Don’t mind if we do! So, as you might be able to tell, Juice Box is an alternative clubbing experience with the emphasis on pure and unadulterated fun…
